Weight Optimization & Metabolic Health
At Storm MedPath, our approach to weight loss goes far beyond calorie restriction — it’s about metabolic optimization. We focus on restoring balance to the systems that drive energy, appetite, and fat metabolism, including hormones, the gut, and cellular function. By combining evidence-based medications such as GLP-1 and GIP receptor agonists with lifestyle and gut health strategies, we help you achieve sustainable, healthy transformation — not just short-term results.
Benefits may include:
-
Reduced appetite and cravings
-
Improved blood sugar stability and insulin sensitivity
-
Decreased visceral fat and improved body composition
-
Support for cardiovascular and metabolic health
-
Sustainable weight reduction and improved energy
At Storm MedPath, these therapies are used in combination with functional testing and personalized nutrition to optimize the body’s natural signaling, not override it. Our goal is to create a foundation where your metabolism works for you, not against you.

GLP-1 and GIP Peptides: Science-Driven Weight Optimization
GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) and GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic peptide) are naturally occurring hormones that play a key role in metabolism and appetite regulation. These hormones communicate between your gut, brain, and pancreas — helping regulate blood sugar, fullness, and energy balance.
Medications that work on these pathways, often called GLP-1 and GIP receptor agonists, are an advanced tool in metabolic and integrative medicine.
Professional Background
Michelle Storm has been a Physician Assistant for 24 years and is a graduate of the Tri-Service Military PA Program through the University of Nebraska. A proud patriot, she is deeply pro-military and pro-first responders. Following 9/11, she served in Afghanistan and later retired as a Major in the U.S. Army Reserves, earning her the name Major Storm.
Patient-Centered Care Philosophy
Throughout her career, Michelle has worked across multiple areas of medicine, but she finds the greatest fulfillment in guiding patients to advocate for their own health and become the best version of themselves. She believes patients want to feel heard, informed, and empowered with options. Michelle is known for her genuine approach and her ability to quickly build trusting relationships with patients.
Personal Life & Community Involvement
Michelle and her husband moved to Texas six years ago, where she has proudly embraced Texas life. They have six children, and she spends much of her free time with family and enjoying the outdoors. She is deeply passionate about foster care and adoption and has adopted four children herself. Michelle is also active in her church, serving on the medical team and teaching kindergarten.

Approach to Medicine
Michelle enjoys medical challenges and thinking outside the box. Her experience in conventional Western medicine, combined with a transition toward a more natural approach, allows her to draw from a wide range of tools. She works with patients to develop practical, personalized health plans focused on optimization and long-term wellness.
Areas of Focus
When asked about her favorite area to treat, Michelle says hormones of any kind, as they often bring the most noticeable improvements. From there, care is fine-tuned with customized approaches that may include supplements, peptides, minerals, weight management, or other alternative therapies.
Outcome-Focused Care
With the right adjustments, Michelle helps patients reach a point where their body begins working together again — a process she describes as both powerful and rewarding. “Next thing you know, your body is working together again.”
